Its finally over! Frankly, we did screw up our performance, but who the hell cares anyway. The audience was filled with mostly people over the age 50, and of the 300 seats there, about 200 were filled only. Oh, and did I mention the fact that all around us, lights were still shining really bright? Earth Hour is fail!
I'll give you guys a quick run through of the day.
Okay...10:10pm I reached Bukit Gombak Station, 20mins early of the supposed arrival time. Eugene, who lives only a stop away, msged me at 10:15. "haha i just woke up". Bastard. Guys started coming at 10:35, then we waited for a few more people till 11. Lesson learnt, it never pays to be early.
We walked to Hongkah North CC, and we realised, holy shit, the stage was huge! Then we went for lunch. Half of us went to find Mcdonalds, and me and a few other guys ate at a muslim stall nearby. Seriously, who goes to Bukit Gombak to eat Macs? After that, we went back to the stage to practice our lines. We then realised that quite a few of us don't know our lines.
2:30, we had to lead a group of commonwealth Sec 3 guys around the Bukit Gombak area, going to each HDB estate and knock on the door of every flat telling them about Earth Day and such. It was 1 CJC guy to 10 commonwealth guys, and each group was supposed to cover 2 blocks. Knowing me and how I have absolutely no sense of direction, I combined with Matthew so I don't end up leading my group all the way to Johor or something. Having 20 guys now, we finished Matthew's 2 blocks, then started on mine. Being an absolute nutcase onn direction as i mentioned earlier, I made the group do block 321 instead of 320. Argh. Lead them to do the 2 correct ones, then called the person in charge, Jeraldine. She told us to cover an extra block since we were early. Done.
Came back, lead the commonwealth guys into the hall of the CC. It was already 6:30 by then, and the show had already started. We saw professional dancers, professional singers and choir, and we thought of our slipshod skit that we had practised for less than 45mins for. At that very moment, everyone knew that we were so fucking screwed. We considered cancelling our 10 min skit but realised it was too late to do that. Our performance was scheduled another 1.5 hours away. GG.
Nevermind that, we went back up to the conference room to eat dinner. After finishing dinner, we sat around for awhile. About 5 mins later, a guy came in, looked at the food with a super shocked look on his face.
Guy: Do you know that this food is for the Guest of Honour!? *cue OMGWTFBBQ looks from all of us*
Jeraldine: "huh?"
Guy: "What are you going to do about it now?!"
Jeraldine: *standing up all of a sudden* "I don't think you have to shout at me in that manner, if theres anything you wish to tell me, we can go outside. now."
Both of them walk out of the room, and Jeraldine flashes us a huge grin before stepping out. Man, that girl's got guts! I would've just sat there like a block if that happened to me. Respect...
Oh, and the VIP's food tasted great. =)
Okay, everything done, it was 8. Our performance was a 8:10. Final practice, then we went down to the stage area.
Yea...so in the end Jay got stage fright and forgot a whole bunch of his lines. Thank God gary saved the situation, but the whole thing was screwed anyway. Lol. Its funny looking back now, how Jay just stood there for a whole 15 seconds while we stared at him and he looked frightened and clueless at the same time.
So...back in the conference room after the whole thing.
Then Jeraldine received a call from the stage hands that we forgot to send someone down to collect the plaque of thanks for us. Another "Oh Shit" moment, but we laughed this one off quickly.
End of really tiring day.... Still got homework to do, and GTA:CW to play.

Wut?
Holidays have come and gone...very fast. Like how our 2.5 month break after the Os slipped by like it was just one day. We're supposed to cover 60 hours of CIP by the end of this year, so fortunately our class CIP-rep Rachelle got us a gig for Earth Hours at Hongkah North CC. Initially, we were supposed to hand out flyers on that day in the afternoon, inviting residents to come down for the Earth Hours event so they would save electricity in their homes. Then we decided, why not put up a skit too? Plus all the practise sessions and the actual day itself, we would have garnered 25 hours in total.
So...practise sessions for the event during the hols. We met on Wed, I brought my laptop along, so did 2 of my other Project Work groupies. We sat around from 11 to 2, doing nothing. Oh, don't even get my started on how crappy CJ's wireless is. The signal strength is excellent, but trying to connect to the network itself takes a PhD in rocket science... Anyway, after managing to connect(finally) i set up my very own LAN shop a corner of the class!
Heres me playing CS...Eugene bugging me for his turn.
Note the Orange Box mouse pad...it isn't mine dammit. Damien lost mine...argh. So....played CS for about half an hour or so, took turns with everyone else, even though it was my comp..
We got to the skit at around 4pm. Guess what role I got to play? Dumb guy! Here are my retarded lines:
Teacher: So can anyone tell how we can protect the environment?
Dumb Guy: uh....buy more weapons?
Teacher: Ok....can I have an answer from someone who is not a complete retard?
...
...
Teacher: Ok, so why must we protect our environment?
Dumb Guy: Because its good, what!
Thank God the event isn't gonna be televised...don't wanna shame ourselves on national TV lol. If you live around the Bukit Gombak area or something, do yourself a favour and stay in your home.
Thursday, same thing. We anticipated that we'd end up doing nothing again, so we brought along of project stuff. Turns out, only 7 people turned up, so we managed to finish our Maths and Econs project in one swoop. Not much to talk about, spent the rest of the time playing CS/TF2.
Oh, and NO ONE seems to have heard of TF2 before...why? Its such an awesome game...
Anyway, this picture was taken yesterday. Somehow, they decided that we should SING a song at the end of our skit...excellent. So, trying to memorize the lyrics and such. Figures I'm just gonna lip synch the whole thing. Oh, and on that day, we won't be provided with mics, so gotta shout or something?
Two more days to the event... I tell ya straight, our skit is only 50% done, and none of us knows how to sing the bleddy song. Lol. I hope we don't screw up that badly.
I found this "interesting" blog post on mmosite.com
___________________________________________________________________ Breaking News, March 2009
Names have been changed to protect those involved.
John was a shy 13 year old boy to begin with, but one day his parents got him a dog. The dog became his best friend and he started to spend all his time with the animal. The dog treated him better than people did, and he enjoyed being with it. But later, all John wanted to do was spend time with and play with the dog when he got home. His parents were afraid that the child had become addicted to the dog.
Mandy, a 14 year old girl, loved her cat. She had been playing with her cat for the past 5 years. Over this time, she had seen her cat do many grisly murders as it caught mice and birds. When she dangled a string in front of the cat, it would evilly attack the string and bite it with viciousness. This desensitized her to violence and murder and made her think it was okay. One day she got in a fight at school, and killed a fellow classmate. This was obviously due to owning a cat, a murdering little animal that teaches kids that murder and violence is nothing.
Chris had watched the discovery channel and seen Tigers stalk their prey many times. Because of this, he learned that stalking was a normal part of life. He hid behind bushes and followed a fellow female classmate around. Luckily he was seen and caught by police before something horrible happened (it is theorized that he would have tackled, killed, and ate her)
Keven was a 15 year old boy who had a number of fish and a pet hamster. He spent too much of his time watching the fish in the tank, when he could have been out doing something constructive. His Hamster often bit him. One day after being bit by his hamster, he killed a group of boys that had been picking on him. Obviously the rage and unbound violence of being bit by a hamster along with the lack of social time from watching his fish were the causes of this boy committing murder.
Lisa, a 10 year old girl, had a pair of pet birds. She noticed that when one bird was eating and the other wanted food, it would just go up to the other bird and try to take it from them. Because of this, she started to think stealing was okay and that she could take whatever she wanted, and started a life of stealing and shoplifting crimes around her neighborhood. Recently a boy named Reggie went on a school shooting spree, killing 20 and wounding many more. In looking at his home life, it was found out he had both a dog, a cat, and a hamster. There is no proof to show he ever was bit by his hamster, or he ever saw his cat kill anything, or even spent much time with the animals, but obviously, he owns these animals so they must be heavily related to the shooting.
Senator Kelly of New Hampshire has written up a new bill to make all Pets MA+ - sold only to adults 18 or older and to fine any pet stores selling animals to those under 18, and to severely punish parents who knowingly let their children either get or have a pet. She would also like to ban The Discovery Channel, as she puts it's "Just a school of death teaching children horrible values and causing untold violence."
Senator Ridgemond of Texas wants to go a step further, banning pets from being sold or kept all together. "They have no value in this society." he was quoted as saying at his latest Press Conference.
- End Story
Video Games today, what tomorrow? ___________________________________________________________________
Well, video games have been blamed for many killing sprees that have emerged over the years, most recent being 17 year old Tim Kretschmer gunning down nine of his schoolmates in Winnenden, Germany. Reports say he was a fan of CounterStrike, and supposedly played Far Cry 2 the night before he went killing people.
So, with people like Jack Thompson running around, video games are being blamed. What next?

Schools alright...I'm just not used to climbing 5 storeys up to my class in the early morning to dump my bag in the class, go down 4 storeys for assembly, then walk back up for lessons. Great morning workout, yeah? I can't believe ACJC has swimming for PE lessons, as I was told by Cheng Heng. But then again, seeing as how freaking rich they are, I wouldn't expect less. Just so you know, CJC's PE involves running AROUND the whole school because our pathetic track's only 335m and has only two lanes. I can't remember how many times in this week alone I've bitched about that. Argh.
I have a maths test tmr...CA they call it. don't know what it stands for. Problem is, I must have left my maths notes in class, or someone has taken it. Nothing to study, period. Thank god its not counted in the promo, but it'll still be in the report books nonetheless. Strangely enough, the only lesson I fully understand is Econs. Its boring yet simple to comprehend. Most of it is logic I guess. The worst lesson is chinese. Damn, I really appreciate our chinese teacher now. For the past 8 lessons or so, all my current CL teacher does is throw us some work, then plonk herself down in front of the laptop for the rest of the damned period.
I find myself blogging about TF2 the moment I run out of thoughts. So here goes. I got unbanned from the StarHub servers. YEAH!! With a little bit of lying, pleading and retardation on his part, I convinced the sole admin of all the StarHub servers in all Steam FPS games to unban me.
I was really on the verge of buying a new copy of TF2, since all the other servers are crap. So after getting some info from a few buddys here and there, I searched the steam community for "Hammifer". Search results turned up "Ze Lobot"(he created an account just to address unbans), "DO NO MSG THIS AC FOR UNBANS" and "FORK TEH FORKING FORKER". Personal description also stated that to get unbans I was to join a group chat and beg for it. I was starting to have second thoughts, but I requested all his accounts for friendship nonetheless. I had the conversation down, so here it is. For convenience(and space)'s sake, FORK TEH FORKING FORKER will be referred to as FTFF.
Blitz: theres no one in the group chat FTFF: for what? Blitz: Unbans
*awkward pause*
FTFF: what did you get banned for? Blitz: to be honest, mic spam. FTFF: Did you get a prior warning before you were banned? Blitz: no, I was just banned straight. FTFF: What were the admin's names? or is there anyone who can testify to that? Blitz: um...not sure. FTFF: when did this happen? Blitz: about November last year FTFF: I remember you. Blitz: you do? FTFF: I was there personally, and I remember warning you many many times. So you left me with no choice. FTFF: just so you know, the kind of people i hate most are mic spammers, liars and cheaters, in that order. Blitz: So theres nothing I can do? FTFF: Yes. You could buy a new copy of TF2. Blitz: alright....at least I tried.
*very long pause here. about roughly 15mins or so*
FTFF: i tell you what. since i just had my coffee, and i'm in a good mood. give me one very good reason why i should allow you back on my servers. and even so, only under certain conditions. Blitz: um...because I'll never do it again. Blitz: I promise. Blitz: plus, my mic is broken. so i can't mic spam. FTFF: thats not really a reason.
*long pause again*
FTFF: just so you know, i will not tolerate my servers degenerating into the likes of other servers out there. I'm sure you know. there will be zero tolerance for mic spammers, cheaters, and whatsoever that threatens my servers into that state. FTFF: tell you what FTFF: I'll unban you, but if i ever hear anything from you ever again, don't even bother to come look for me. i will not entertain you. Blitz: yeah, i promise you'll never hear of me again. Blitz: Thanks so much!
OK...now you see how much of an arse I can be. But all in good cause. That 15 bucks that I would have spent on a new copy of TF2 goes to Bryant and Cheng Heng's bday present money! So there!
in total randomness, i shall quote someone who dissed me today.
"Everyone else's rockets move faster than yours. They are also more accurate and powerful. This is because they have a sweet Turbo Alignment Laser Enhanced Nuke Thrower instead of what you have."
after i complained on how i can't kill nuts with Soldier.
